Linked In is quite possibly the most effective social networking site due to its usage of Reputation as a key metric towards being a prominent profile on the site. Outside of my personal triumphs which include consulting gigs, speaking opportunities, and sponsorship arrangements, I’ve seen colleagues land new employment opportunities and at a minimal level join groups on Linked In that keep them in-the-know within their particular industry.
Jeremy Steinberg of Mid-Atlantic based Entrequest will be hosting a webinar entitled “Getting the Most out of LinkedIn” It will be interesting to learn his views and practices on LinkedIn as I’ve attended sessions with gurus such as Christopher S. Penn, who showed the audience strategies leveraging LinkedIn to complete tasks I normally wouldn’t have considered using it for.
